Performance in junior high school will determine the subjects which can be studied at senior level, and ultimately at university or college. Because it is so difficult to be sure what profession a young person will eventually follow we recommend that subjects are chosen to give maximum choice later on.

In particular, if your child is not getting high marks in Maths or English, this usually points to underlying weaknesses in key skills such as reading, essay writing, algebra or study techniques. Each one of these problem areas will eventually impact on other subjects as well.

Our approach is to provide individually tailored programs which are designed to target your child's specific needs. The first step is to have a diagnostic assessment, then, in consultation with you, we plan a program to fix any problem areas. The programs we prepare for you are generally quite intensive so they only take between one and six months to complete. At least one parent is usually actively involved in the program, attending the lessons and assisting at home with the work we set. Because we work with people at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels we are also able to provide you with long term support throughout the whole period of your son or daughter's education in much the same way as your dentist or doctor does with your health care.
